    WHO WE ARE

Founded in 1965, Courageous Acres (formerly Camp Courageous) was created when no other camps were equipped to work with individuals with development disabilities. Camp created a safe, secure and rewarding experience for a population under served by other community recreation programs. The mission of camp is to foster socialization, independence and a better quality of life for people with development disabilities and others in the community through residential, day and weekend camps. We also provide the camper’s caregivers with a much needed time for rejuvenation.
